This Excursion takes us, driving through small back-roads and village to Tabanan City. (Market Visit). The tour continues, by driving up the slope of Mount BATUKARU . Visit of a beautiful Temple at the edge of the rainforest which is normally locked. Our guides carry a key and bring Kains and Slendangs along. ONLY AWIWAH VW IS USING THIS ROUTE. Short walks are made in-between, to explain the culture of rice growing and to show the many spices (cacao, cloves, coffee and vanilla), which are growing on this island. Passing thru remote villages , we reach a restaurant with a beautiful view over the rice fields. ,where we will have lunch. On the way back , again on small roads we make a stop to show a Balinese house and the art of making offerings. Afterwards back to the hotel.

The tour continues to the Rim of a huge Caldera (14 km across) with a breathtaking view upon Mt. Batur 1717m, he most active volcano on the island. Going down (183m) via the truck-route into the old crater, we will encounter huge lava-flows which have covered most of the vegetation. The guide will explain the thirty million years old history of this area. After an adventures drive around the mountain, we reach Bali's biggest lake ,Lake Batur. Lunch will be taken at a small restaurant with a beautiful lake view .After ascending, using again small back roads ,(stops and walks to explain the spices and fruits of this island, along the route). our last stop will be in a Desa (White Herons).

WE PROCEED FURTHER EAST, ALONG THE FEET OF THE VULCANO “ GUNUNG AGUNG” (BALIS HIGHEST MOUNTAIN AND FOR THE BALINESE THE ABODE OF THE GODS). THRU A LANDSCAPE WITH BREATHTAKING RICE TERRACES AND SALAK-PLANATIONS, WE REACH THE EASTERN PART OF THE ISLAND. VISIT OF THE ROYAL SPING-FED BATHING POOLS, ”TIRTHA GANGGA”.
